Garnishing – The act by which support money is obtained from the non-paying spouse’s
employer; the non-paying spouse’s employer then draws that amount from his or her paycheck.
Goodwill – The value of a business beyond its sales revenue, inventory, and other tangible
assets: including prestige, name recognition, and customer loyalty.
Grounds for Dissolution – Reasons for seeing a divorce, such as incompatibility, mental cruelty,
physical abuse, or adultery. California is a no fault divorce state and a dissolution may be granted
upon a finding of irreconcilable differences.
